Just Poppin' In |
For my three blog readers, I've been MIA because I have been AGGRESSIVELY tackling the job search market. Seriously, I'm looking like I don't already have a job. I want OUT!
I'll probably pop back in during the weekend, but I've been really tired and a bit depressed, so I'll get back when I can. I hope everyone is okay. Enjoy the upcoming weekend. See you soon!Labels: weekend, work |

My life sucks, how's yours? |
Okay, I may be a tad pessimistic with my blog title (well, maybe not), but I'm trying to remember that I have decided not to let work bother me because I have started up my new Operation, much like the operation of a good friend Ennui and her task of graduating from Grad School titled OGOOD "Operation Gettin' Out Of Dodge"
Mine is slightly different and a lot more vulgar, titled GTFO "Get The Fuck Out" I have made one mistake too many there and now the lawyers want to review their work. This is not only demeaning, but a pain in the ass and I have decided that the pay and the position is not worth the stress and bleakness I feel when I walk in there.
This "reviewing" may go on indefinitely and I just don't care enough to stick around anymore to find out. I'm shooting to be gone by Christmas, but at the very least I WANT to be gone by the end of Jan '08. I officially and absolutely want OUT.
Hang in there with me. This may just be Mission Impossible. Heh.
**********
In TV news I'm waiting for several of my fav shows to come back, but not waiting on many new ones. I'll see which new ones I want to watch later. But now I'm eager to see these return:
Smallville Supernatural The Simpsons Lost (Not until Feb!!!!) ER CSI Prison Break (WTF is going on?)
We shall see how this new TV season goes.Labels: GTFO, tv, work |

Let the job search commence |
Some shit went down at work and one of the attorney's is gunning for me. Nothing new, actually, but seriously. I am getting the hell outta there. I'm surprised I lasted this long. I hope to be by the end of January of next year. I will keep my fingers crossed. I do NOT want to be there this time in 2008.
I am so ready for the weekend!
I have no plans for the weekend. I leave early on Monday for a doctor's appointment and I'm going to take this weekend and that early day to work on my resume and get my fax machine working. Yep, but get on that road to GTFO officially titled Get The Fuck Out.
*************
I am seriously starting to work on my book again. If I ever get published, then I can die happy. But, damn! Can I even get a fucking manuscript written yet? I'm working on it. I need to seriously sit in a quite place, think, organize and write. I can't go down that road of begin to write, get lost, go off on a tangent and end up not finishing anything. It's too hard to start over.
That's about all the news I have for now. I have been faithfully buying and reading Season 8 Comic of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I'm enjoying it. I think it is giving me inspiration to write.
I learned today that the Harry Potter Movies have grosed $4.5 billion dollars, more than ALL SIX star wars movies! and 22 James Bonds making it the highest grossing movie franchise ever. HOLY SHIT! I'd kill the Pope to be J.K. Rowling.
Sigh :(
Anyway, enjoy your weekend!Labels: Buffy, job, weekend, writing |

That's Forensic Expert to you |
My sister and I went to the Museum of Science and Industry here in Chicago to the CSI: The Experience exhibit on Saturday. It was Awesome! I loved it. However, there is always some drama with us and museum exhibits.
If you remember the last time we went to the Museum then this is no different. I always get emails about stuff going on at the Museum. So, I get one on Friday to let me know that the CSI exhibit is this last weekend. Ack! I wanted to so, so I head over the website and see that there are still a nice amount of tickets left. But, because of no refunds I had to make sure my sister could go.
She left her cell at home so I couldn't ask her until I saw her that night. She said sure, and I head to the internet to buy tickets. (no) Surprise! The tickets are almost sold out except for one ticket (there are timed entries) at 10am and 10:30 a.m. So, I freak for a moment wondering about the next time 3pm and decide that's too late.
I decide to buy both the 10 and 10:30 am tickets and the one who goes first will wait around inside for the other.
So, we get there early and we both have to go the bathroom. Alas, instead of going to the bathroom like normal people, we go to some "World of Tomorrow" exhibit and end up heading over for my time at 10 am. The lady taking the tickets said my sister could try and go in too even though she had a different time, and if they said no she'd just have to wait.
We get in line and she gets out because she has to pee so bad. Arg! So, I go on in but what you do is you a card with your specific crime scene (1, 2, or 3) I get #1 and go in, so I try to call her on her cell, about 98 times to tell her that I got crime scene 1 and to get that one so we'd be on the same case. She never answers!
I check out the crime scene, fill out my card and move on to another area where you get to look at photo's of the crime scene again before moving into the interactive area. I mill around there for 30 minutes waiting for her, and she FINALLY shows up and thank god she has crime scene #1 too.
And before all that I had a panic that I'd bought child tickets. See, if you buy online they were $19 including Museum admission. At the Museum they were $25. So, when I saw the ticket booth Adults $25 Children $19, I freaked out--until we asked these three nice ladies about their tickets and they had $19 also. Whew.
In the end we had a great time, but man, I hate that drama.
Oh, we also solved the crime. Grissom (on interactive touch screen) congratulated us. Heh.Labels: CSI: the experience, museum, weekend |
