The loss continues |
We buried Tracy on Friday the 11th in our backyard. I bought a headstone with her name on it. I still really miss her. I think about her a lot and have yet to move her food bowls. I still cry, but it has gotten less. I will always, always miss her and love. I cant' believe she's gone. I really can't, I just always thought she'd be here, old and grumpy *g* but here with us. I never thought about her dying. She'd been here so long I just can't believe she's not here anymore.
I still love you Tracy!

In lighter news I plan on going on about my Summer movies. I'm waiting for several, my top ones being The Dark Knight, The X-Files, and The Happening. More on that later.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend guys, I'll see you soon.Labels: movies, Tracy |

I love you, Tracy |
IN LOVING MEMORY 1990-2008
Tracy, be in peace. We had nearly 20 years together and I still love you so much. I will love you always. I will forever miss you sleeping in your little basket. I will never forget you. I will miss feeding you and picking you up and hugging you. It will be so hard for a long time without you. We had fun together and I will always, always, always love my 'little Tracy'.
"I grieve for you You leave me so hard to move on Still loving whats gone They say life carries on Carries on and on and on and on
"I Grieve" Peter Gabriel"
Rainbow Bridge
Rainbow BridgeJust this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they miss someone very special to them; who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together......."Labels: cats, love, Tracy |

One book at a time |
I love Borders bookstores and books in general. I have so many that I don't even read. Sigh, it's actually very sad. I have read several in our city book club One Book, One Chicago and am currently reading "The Long Goodbye" by Raymond Chandler. I just started, but it's not bad. I am actually hoping that this will spur me to write my own damn book. I have my idea, I have my theme, but I just need to get going.
My problem now? Where should I set the story. I contemplate creating a fake city/town but decided against it. I'm thinking about just using Chicago since I live here and it might be easier to use real places. I think the city is also versatile enough that if I need a country like setting, lots of open land, etc. I can do it without completely lying. My story deals with horror and vampires and there's some part of me that thinks it will seem stupid in a city environment. I think of L.A. as the setting for Angel and it just works so well. Hmmm, note to self : You're a writer dammit! Make it work!
Okay, I will. Thanks self!
See you guys soonLabels: books, weekend, writing |

Thursday is the new Friday |
In response to my blog title--- not really. LOL, but today it's the new Friday because I'm not going to work tomorrow!! I'm so freakin' tired I can't even tell you. I just want to sleep, sleep, sleep.
I'm going to go out and get my taxes done on Friday. Yes, as usual I'm slow as hell. I don't have much to blog about today. I'm watching "Supernatural" right now and am very happy my Sam and Dean are back. The one thing I was going to mention was that was thinking about running a marathon, but realized--er, no. LOL. It would be for charity and of course an animal charity. It would be for PAWS but I can't run. I'd WALK for charity, but I'm not a runner. At any rate, I'll just donate and try and figure out how I can volunteer with my time.
Okay guys, I'll check you out tomorrow. I'm gonna finish watching Supernatural and chill out.
Happy Friday to my readers!Labels: animals, PAWS, weekend |
